Dear Parents,

On behalf of the administration and staff, I would like to welcome you to Plainfield East High School. Each day, we are privileged to have the opportunity to help your child maximize his/her potential. If you have any questions or comments concerning your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to contact our teachers, division chairs, or myself.

I strongly believe that our mission, in part, is to prepare students to participate in their surrounding communities, including both Plainfield East High School and the community in which they reside; it is our goal to help improve your child’s ability to think critically about the world around them.

Furthermore, we strive to promote the skills necessary for living and working in a diverse and global world. Using individual course content, we are here to help enhance your child’s communication, studying and test-taking skills, and higher order thinking skills that are necessary, in some form or another, for success in both the workforce and higher education.

Although we will put forth great effort, I must admit that the PEHS staff cannot do it alone.  In short, we need your help.  Please continue to support and monitor your child’s academic progress. In addition, please encourage them to complete their work on time and prepare for any upcoming quiz or test by studying far in advance.  Working in tandem, I am convinced that we can help your child to fulfill their potential.

Please rest assured that the staff at Plainfield East High School will do our best to maintain the high standards that are demanded of students today. We will also do everything within our power to ensure that your child can meet and exceed those standards. Again, if you have any concerns with your child’s progress, please feel free to contact myself or another staff member so that we can help address the needs of your child.
