Suzanne Aaron, a employee with the ARC of Illinois advocacy group will discuss federal and state benefits in Illinois, at the at first meeting of the new Will-Grundy Transition Planning Committee from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
The meeting will be held at the Plainfield District 202 Administration Center, 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield.
Topics will include: vocational rehabilitation services, including employment and training options.
The Will-Grundy Transition Planning Committee replaces the “Next Steps” training program that helped District 202 parents and caregivers plan, transition, and advocate for their children with disabilities. “Next Steps” ended its service last spring after seven years.
