Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the administration and staff, let me welcome you to Plainfield East High School. Each day we consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to help your child maximize his or her potential. If you have any questions or comments concerning your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to contact our teachers, department chairs or myself.

I strongly believe that our mission, in part, is to prepare students to participate in the communities in which they live. In meeting that end, it is our goal to help improve your child’s ability to think critically about the world around them.

Furthermore, it is our goal to promote the skills necessary for living and working in a diverse and global world. Using individual course content, we are here to help enhance your child’s communication, note taking, studying and test-taking skills that are necessary, in some form or another, for success for both the workforce and higher education.

Although we will put forth great effort, I must admit that the PEHS staff cannot do it alone.  In short, we need your help.  Please continue to support and monitor your child’s academic progress.  In addition, please encourage them to complete their work on time, as well as, prepare for any upcoming quiz or test by studying far in advance.  Working in tandem, I am convinced that all of us can assist your child in fulfilling their potential.

Please rest assured that the staff at PEHS will do our best to maintain the high standards that are demanded of students in the Twenty-First Century.  We will also do everything within our power to ensure that your child can meet and exceed those standards. Again, if you have any concerns with your child’s progress, please feel free to contact myself or another staff member so that we can help address the needs of your child.
