Plainfield East High School concert choir to perform at ACDA Fall Convention

The Plainfield East High School concert choir will perform five songs at the American Choral Director Association’s (ACDA) Fall Convention at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2019 at Wheaton College, College Church, 332 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton, IL.

Alexandria Kordelewski, Plainfield East High School Choir Director, submitted the choir’s application to perform at the convention at the end of the 2018-19 school year.

The application included recordings from the last three years, and biographies on the choir and Kordelewski.

The PEHS concert choir comprises nearly 40 students. It will be one of three high school choirs performing at the convention. Riverside-Brookfield Madrigal Singers and Metea Valley High School will also perform at the convention.

The PEHS concert choir has been working since last summer to prepare for its performance at the ACDA Fall Convention, Kordelewski said.

“We are honored to be a part of this experience,” she said.
