FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2020

The 2020 Prom is sooner than you think, and tickets will be going on sale in one month! If you are bringing a date from another school, you must have a date request form filled out AND SIGNED by both your PEHS dean and the other school’s administrator in order to buy your ticket. These forms are available NOW. These forms take time to complete, so grab yours from the attendance office TODAY. Late forms will not be accepted. Stay tuned for more details regarding ticket sale dates and prices.

There are now 2 cars that will be running in the morning for before school driving.  There are slots open for the next two weeks so if you are interested, sign up on the drivers ed page on the school website.


Are you interested in putting together this year’s literary magazine? Stop by room 109 from 2:20-3pm any Monday in March. See or e-mail Mrs. Ferraro for more information!

Attention Seniors, Juniors & Sophomores-- It’s time for Spring college visits and we have several great schools scheduled to meet with you.

St. Ambrose University & DePaul University will be here on March 19th & Joliet Junior College will be here on March 23rd.  Be sure to go on Naviance or stop by the College Career Center to register.

The Muslim Student Association will volunteer from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Feed My Starving Children on Monday, March 16. We will meet there. Transportation will not be provided.  If you would like to participate, let Mrs. Hornik in room 203 or MSA President Shayma Rizwan know. Limited space available.

 “Saturday is Pi Day! Mu Alpha Theta will be raffling off pies during lunch periods today. Tickets are 50 cents a piece or 5 tickets for 2 dollars. Winners will be chosen Friday.  Thank you for helping support the Math Honors Soociety!


Hey Bengals, how great are your teachers? Have you ever wanted to thank them for all that they do for you, but you just don’t know how? Submit a STAR Teacher nomination! This is an essay of 500 words (OR LESS!) that showcases what makes that staff member special.  A panel of staff members will choose the top 15 essays, and those authors and the teacher recognized will be invited to a dinner during Teacher Appreciation week.  See Mrs. Marcum for more information about how to submit a nomination!


PEHS Media Center is excited to have our 3rd Author Visit coming soon! Natalie Lund, Author of We Speak In Storms, a novel that focuses on 3 teens living in a small town in Illinois that had a terrible tornado rip through it 50 years ago…sound familiar? The novel starts with a similar storm that sets the 3 teens on a course to find themselves. 

Ms. Lund will be here on Friday, March 20th.  See the Media Center Twitter or the Media Center staff for information on how to sign up!

On Thursday, 3/26, come to Trivia night!  We will have teams of up to 6 people competing for a cash prize and bragging rights! Entry is $5.00 for students. See a student council member or Mrs. Marcum in the Media Center for sign up information.  Listen carefully to the announcements for chances to win discounted admission!”
